How does the Smart Sync feature work?
Smart Sync automatically detects when you play music in your primary player (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) and starts the vinyl crackle. The app does not require access to your notifications or microphone — it carefully checks the device's audio session status, ensuring maximum privacy.
Why does the vinyl sound fade out instead of stopping immediately on iOS?
This is a deliberate design and technical choice (Lo-Fi aesthetic). Instead of a harsh pause, Crackle smoothly fades the volume to zero. This not only sounds pleasant but also allows the app to remain active in the background, instantly bringing the sound back as soon as you resume your favorite track.
Will Crackle interrupt my main music?
No. Crackle is designed to work in "Mix With Others" mode. We never request Audio Focus, meaning your primary music will never be paused or interrupted when you launch our vinyl sounds.
